Community Workshop to Help Create a Hudson River Comprehensive Restoration Plan: 

Partners Restoring the Hudson is a public/private partnership comprised of many not-for-profit organizations and academic institutions that are working together, in consultation with state and federal agencies, to create a Hudson River Comprehensive Restoration Plan (the Plan) for the Hudson River Estuary, from the Tappan Zee Bridge to the Federal Dam at Troy.

The Plan will provide an inventory of possible community based habitat restoration and adaptation projects to improve the function and health of natural systems, enhance regional economic potential, and increase community resilience. A community planning process is currently underway to identify a suite of priority areas and actions that will be most effective in sustaining the natural and community resources of the Hudson River Estuary.

To support the development of the Plan, we are now organizing a series of community workshops for county planning officials, municipal officials and other stakeholders in order to  share information on the needs and opportunities along the shoreline of the Hudson River Estuary that relate to habitat restoration and protection, community infrastructure, and recreational access.
